This program is available to eligible homeowners across Canada for the purchase and installation of eligible heat pump systems, as well as for all eligible measures related to their installation.<\/p>\n<p>Federal grants are not taxable and do not have to be reported as income.<\/p>\n\t<p>Once your application is approved, you will receive a cheque. Most often, you will receive your funds before you have to pay the associated fees.<\/p>\n<p>Funding may be combined with additional financial assistance from other existing federal, provincial and territorial programs and services.<\/p>\n<p>All work can be completed within six months of receipt of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.confortexpert.com\/en\/grants\/\">grant payment<\/a>.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.confortexpert.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/inphographic-2.png\" alt=\"inphographic-2\" itemprop=\"image\" height=\"2000\" width=\"3000\" title=\"inphographic-2\" onerror=\"this.style.display='none'\"  \/>\n\t<h2><strong>APPLICATION PROCESS<\/strong><\/h2>\n\t<p>You can benefit from the Oil to Heat Pump Affordability program if:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>your household income is at or below the median after-tax income;<\/li>\n<li>your home is one of the types of properties that qualify;<\/li>\n<li>you are the primary resident and owner of the home;<\/li>\n<li>you heat your home with oil (oil heating);<\/li>\n<li>you have recent receipts for the purchase of at least 500 litres of heating oil (oil) to heat your home in the last 12 months before you applied;<\/li>\n<li>you are able to complete the work within six months of receiving the initial payment;<\/li>\n<li>Your home is connected to an integrated electrical grid (for example, the North American electricity grid).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--label-0\" tabindex=\"0\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-0\">STEP 1<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--icon-0\" tabindex=\"-1\"><i title=\"Collapse\">Collapse<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\tCheck your eligibility<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/natural-resources.canada.ca\/energy-efficiency\/home-energy-efficiency\/canada-greener-homes-initiative\/oil-heat-pump-affordability-program?_gl=1*1v5b8ww*_ga*MTEwMzY3MDYyMS4xNzU1ODAyMzE5*_ga_C2N57Y7DX5*czE3NTU4Njg0MjMkbzMkZzAkdDE3NTU4Njg0MjMkajYwJGwwJGgw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/natural-resources.canada.ca\/energy-efficiency\/home-energy-efficiency\/canada-greener-homes-initiative\/oil-heat-pump-affordability-program<\/a>\nCheck the eligibility of your system with the AHRI number given by your contractor<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/ahridirectory.org\/\">https:\/\/ahridirectory.org\/<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--label-1\" tabindex=\"0\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-1\">STEP 2<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--icon-1\" tabindex=\"-1\"><i title=\"Expand\">Expand<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Gather the necessary documents to provide:<br \/>\u2022\tyour full name, contact information and the address of your principal residence; <br \/>\u2022\tthe type of dwelling; <br \/>\u2022\tproof of ownership; <br \/>\u2022\tproof of principal residence;<br \/>\u2022\tyour income and the number of people in the household <br \/>\u2022\tyour Social Insurance Number;<br \/>\u2022\trecent heating oil (oil) receipts that show at least 500 litres of heating oil purchased in the 12 months preceding the application;<br \/>\u2022\tquotes from the selected contractor(s) for all eligible measures for which you are requesting funding.<\/p>\n<p>Although the Oil to Heat Pump Affordability program does not require the removal of your oil tank, the cost of removing the tank is an eligible expense.<br \/>The attestation form must be completed by your contractor after the heat pump has been installed.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--label-2\" tabindex=\"0\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-2\">STEP 3<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--icon-2\" tabindex=\"-1\"><i title=\"Expand\">Expand<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Log in to the Canada Greener Homes Portal and apply.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--label-3\" tabindex=\"0\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-3\">STEP 4<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--icon-3\" tabindex=\"-1\"><i title=\"Expand\">Expand<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Accept the amount of your grant.<br \/>If you are eligible and agree to the grant amount, the grant will be paid within 5 to 10 business days.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--label-4\" tabindex=\"0\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-4\">STEP 5<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--icon-4\" tabindex=\"-1\"><i title=\"Expand\">Expand<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Complete the project in six months and submit your receipts. For some owners, this will be the end of their journey.
