Heating Grants in Quebec for 2025

1. Chauffez Vert

Chauffez Vert provides financial assistance for converting heating systems powered by oil or propane to renewable energy systems. This funding also applies to replacing oil or propane water heaters. Eligible work includes removing the oil or propane tank and dismantling the existing fuel furnace or boiler.

Amount: The allocated sum depends on the type of housing and heating system.

Eligibility: Homeowners must be existing Hydro-Québec clients, and conversion work must be done with qualified contractors.

2. Oil-to-Heat Pump Affordability Program

If your income is equal to or below the median income after taxes, you may be eligible for the Oil-to-Heat Pump Affordability Program. This program offers up to $10,000 to homeowners currently heating their homes with oil. This amount is intended to finance the installation of an eligible electric heat pump, allowing for a transition to more environmentally friendly and economical heating.

Eligibility: CAMT program criteria include proof of purchasing 500 litres of oil in the past 12 months (instead of 1,000 litres), a broader range of eligible heat pumps (air and geothermal), and an increased income threshold to account for inflation. 3. Grant for Dual-Energy System – Electricity-Natural Gas

The dual energy grant aims to promote the installation of heating systems combining electricity and natural gas to improve residences’ energy efficiency. Owners of single-family homes, duplexes, or triplexes may benefit, provided their homes are connected to the natural gas network.

Amount: You can receive a grant of $6,000 for a single-family, semi-detached, row house, or condo with a separate heating system.

4. Rénoclimat
